Courtney Thorne Smith Bio

Courtney Thorne-Smith (born on the 8th of November, 1967) is an American actress. Her most famous roles include Alison Parker on Melrose Place and Georgia Thomas on Ally McBeal. She was also on the show as Cheryl in According to Jim and Lyndsey McElroy in Two and a Half Men. Thorne Smith was born in San Francisco and raised in Menlo Park (a suburb to San Francisco). Her father, Walter Smith, was an analyst in the field of computer markets and her mother, Lora Thorne, was a therapist. Courtney seven years old, separated from her father, Walter Smith. She was a part of both of her parents, at various times. Jennifer is her older sister is an ad executive. In 1985, she graduated from Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley, California. While in high school, she played with the Ensemble Theater Company of Mill Valley. Thorne Smith's first appearance in a movie was in the 1986 movie drama Lucas. She was joined by Winona Ryder (Corey Haim) and Charlie Sheen. The actress was also in various films in the latter half of the 1980s, like Welcome to 18 (1986), Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise (1987), Summer School (1987), and Side Out (1990). In 1998, she was an actor in the box office flop Chairman Of The Board together with Carrot Top. In 2009 she appeared in Sorority Wars. Thorne Smith was a lover of Andrew Shue in the 1990s. He was her screen mate from Melrose Place. In June 2000, she tied the knot with Andrew Conrad, a geneticist. The couple divorced in the month of January. On January 1, 2007, she married Roger Fishman, president of the marketing company the Zizo Group and author of the book What I Know. She gave birth to Jacob Emerson Fishman on January 11, 2008 at 40.
