Moss was born on the 13th of February in 1977. He is an American footballer. He
was a player with the Minnesota Vikings (Oak Raiders), New England Patriots
(New England Patriots), Tennessee Titans (Tennessee Titans), and the San
Francisco 49ers in the National Football League. Moss is widely considered to
be Jerry Rice's best wide receiver. He holds the NFL single season record for
touchdown receptions of 23 in 2007, the NFL rookie single-season touchdown record
(17 in 1998) and is second on the all-time NFL regular season touchdown
receptions with 156. Moss was famous for his skill in securing his contested
catch "mossed" is today a football word. Post-football, he was
working for ESPN as an analyst in its studios for the Sunday NFL Countdown and
Monday Night Countdown programs. Moss was an Rand, West Virginia native. Moss
attended DuPont High School. This was one of two schools that were later
consolidated to become Riverside High School. He excelled at football,
basketball and baseball. Randy was also on the school's debate team. On the
football field, Moss led the DuPont Panthers to two state championships in 1992
and 1993. Moss was an outstanding wide receiver and also played free safety,
returned punts and kickoffs, and was the team's kicker and punter. In 1994, he
won with the Kennedy Award as the West Virginia Football Player of the Year.
Parade magazine named him to their All-American high school football team in
1995, and in 2009, he was named as one of the top 50 footballers from high
school ever.
